Lufia II at Wikipedia

A classic SNES JRPG that never got its due since it was released in 1996, well after the Playstation was released and had become the RPG console of choice. It's a prequel to the original Lufia and leads directly into that story, which means Lufia II ends up being a tale of destiny, predetermination, and tragedy. Apart from the normal 90's JRPG gameplay it has some extras like a randomized roguelike dungeon mode and selection of actual casino games. Many are the cases of people who never finished the game after being sidetracked by those areas.

I played through it again to unlock 'Gift' mode. I'll finish that dungeon someday.
